Alice Overland, LSW

Therapist

I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and graduate of the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I majored in Psychology and got a certificate in Disability Rights and Services. My clinical experience spans the lifespan, from children and adolescents to adults and older adults, in outpatient settings. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal and relationship struggles, and the impact of trauma.

I have extensive training in evidence-based, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practice. My background includes leading DBT skills groups, providing individual DBT coaching, and offering on-demand support to clients in moments of acute need. I approach therapy from a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens, and I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel supported as they work toward emotional stability and meaningful change. I believe deeply in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and I strive to meet each client where they are, with compassion and consistency.

I offer in person visits and Telehealth options for scheduled patients only
